XP® Range

Extreme Performance ground engaging tools from Wear Parts Australia — Australian-owned GET manufactured for the abrasion, impact and downtime costs of local earthmoving, construction, quarry and mining work.

The XP® range brings together advanced materials, controlled heat treatment and WPA’s own tooling so cutting edges, teeth, adapters, ripper boots and grader blades stay productive for longer.

What is the XP® range?

XP® stands for Extreme Performance. Parts earn an XP, XPA or XPF designation when they use a special manufacturing process, a selected high-performance material, or both. Every WPA-branded XP® product is made to WPA designs and metallurgy, backed by our customer service and Unlimited Warranty claim on the product (ask us for terms).

1XP® Advanced Wear Steel

1XP® is WPA’s rolled advanced wear steel for cutting edges and related components. Special metallurgy delivers an off-the-shelf hardness around 500HB, with strong work-hardening in service.

  • Approximately 30% longer wear life versus typical off-the-shelf rolled steels such as 30MnB
  • Particularly suited to high-abrasion work on loaders, dozers and bolt-on cutting edges
  • Sharper bevels and clean ramp angles to support material flow and productive loading

Look for 1XP® on WPA reversible bolt-on edges and other rolled-steel XP® cutting edges.

2XP® cast alloy

2XP® is WPA’s high-performance cast alloy used across XP® teeth, ripper boots and related castings. Combined with careful foundry practice and heat treatment — including double tempering on parts destined for extreme duty — it is built for wear life and toughness where breakage and premature wear cost the most.

Adapters, forged parts and blades

  • XPA adapters — adapters made with WPA’s advanced shell-core technology and selected materials for fit and wear performance
  • XPF forged components — forged XP® parts for high-impact applications where slim, tough profiles matter
  • XP® grader blades — through-hardened blades in a range of widths, lengths, thicknesses and styles; through-hardening outperforms typical induction-hardened blades in demanding grading work
  • XP-R™ ripper boots — cast in 2XP® alloy with extended normalisation and double heat treatment for toughness in extreme ripping (suitable options include CAT D9/D10/D11, Komatsu D475, ESCO E49R and Xcentric XR30 patterns)

WPA also stocks weld-on single bevel edges (heat-treated for hardness and weldability, supplied unpainted for immediate welding) and bucket armour to protect high-wear areas of your buckets.

Built for Australian conditions

Based on the Gold Coast, WPA develops tooling with precision methods including 3D scanning so XP® components fit correctly, helping reduce vibration and movement in service. Parts are quality-checked before they go on your machines — so you spend more hours producing and fewer hours changing GET.
